The Disability Information Bureau is staffed by volunteers with first hand experience of disability and provides a free and confidential service on all aspects of disability to disabled people, carers, friends and professionals.
We are based in Pierce Street, Macclesfield (link to Map) and in Congleton in the Municipal Offices, Market Square. (Link to Map).

- A free and confidential information service
- Disability/Equality and Diversity Training
- An IT Learning Centre, which provides courses, one-to-one learning and opportunities for self-learning in a wide range of IT subjects. The centre is equipped with a large range of adaptive technology.
- Access Appraisals to assist businesses and public organisations with assessing their spaces.
- Advice on Benefits - Benefits/tax credits and welfare support, advice and information
- An Information Service - providing advice on a wide range of disability related issues.
- Employment Support - Helping people on health related benefits back into work
- Training in a variety of subjects such as Equality and Diversity, Disability Awareness and Safeguarding.

Who can use the Service?
Many of our services are open for anyone to use, however some are restricted to people with a disability.
Who Provides the Service?
People with first hand experience of disability and specialist knowledge of IT, acces issues and disability related benefits entitlement.
We are staffed by volunteers who have first hand experience of disability. We are a friendly bunch and will do our utmost to help with any question you have or support you require.
